I am a recent honorably discharged veteran. While serving in the military, I was trained to be a K-9 handler and also oversaw a civilian dog training school. I want to continue to teach dog owners how to handle their dog and train their dog to improve the partnership between them. I am a master certified dog trainer via American K-9 Interdiction (AAK9I) and also patrol dog certified.
My dog, Bak, has truly inspired me to train dogs. Working with him every day helps me with my post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). I know, first hand, the value of a properly trained dog. They truly are man's/woman's best friend.
There are many wonderful organizations that help dogs and dog owners. I am especially fond of and support the Flagler Humane Society and K9 for Warriors. The Flagler Humane Society provides shelter and nourishment for lost and homeless animals and finds them life-long matches in forever homes. K9 for Warriors is the nations' largest provider of service dogs for Veterans. This innovative program allows the K9/Warrior team to build an unwavering bond that facilitates there collective healing and recovery.
